At The Insight Atelier, assessment is not about reducing a person to scores or diagnoses. It is a thoughtful, integrative process designed to help individuals and families understand strengths, challenges, and patterns with depth and compassion.

We provide comprehensive psychological evaluations for children ages 6 and older, adolescents, and adults.

Our Assessment is Different

Psychological assessment here is more than a battery of tests. It is an exploratory journey of functioning.

Our work is grounded in developmental science, trauma-informed care, and cultural humility. We attend to how identity, family systems, educational environments, and lived experience shape how results are expressed and understood.

Data matters. But meaning matters more.

Whole Person Understanding

Results are interpreted within the context of development, culture, identity, and lived experience—not in isolation.

Collaborative & Empowering

You are not a passive subject in this process. Our goal is clarity, understanding, and practical next steps—not labels alone.

Reports That Are Meant to Be Used

Recommendations are concrete, thoughtful, and tailored for home, school, work, or treatment planning.

What the Process Looks Like

  • We begin with a comprehensive clinical interview to understand concerns, history, strengths, and goals. This conversation shapes the entire evaluation and ensures the assessment is tailored, not generic.

  • Testing includes a combination of standardized measures, interactive tasks, and questionnaires assessing areas such as cognition, attention, executive functioning, memory, language, and emotional functioning. Sessions can be divided across multiple days and paced with care for stamina, comfort, and nervous system regulation.

  • With consent, we gather information from relevant sources such as teachers, caregivers, or other providers to understand functioning across settings.

  • Results are carefully analyzed and integrated into a cohesive clinical narrative. We look for patterns, not isolated scores, and consider the whole person within their context.

  • Within 4-5 weeks of completing testing, we meet for a personalized feedback session. Results are explained clearly, questions are welcomed, and recommendations are discussed collaboratively.

  • You receive a detailed report outlining diagnostic impressions, strengths, challenges, and tailored recommendations. Reports are written to be understandable, clinically sound, and usable in real life.
