    • Grief & loss

    3. How often will we meet and for how long?

Most clients begin with weekly 55 minute sessions, though frequency may shift as therapy progresses. We’ll discuss the pacing that works best for your needs and capacity.

    4. What’s your therapy style?

Relational, reflective, and responsive. We offer a virtual space where you’re deeply seen, gently challenged, and never pathologized. Insight is a tool, but we also honor nervous system patterns, cultural context, and lived experience.

    5. Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes—all sessions are currently offered via secure telehealth for clients located in Illinois. This allows you to access care from the comfort of your home or office.

We are currently not in-network with any insurance companies. We can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement. You are welcome to schedule a consultation call to discuss your options.

  • 1. What is a psychological assessment?

A psychological assessment is a detailed evaluation that combines clinical interviews, standardized tests, and contextual insights to help clarify questions like ADHD, learning differences, anxiety, mood concerns, and trauma. It’s a way to understand both challenges and strengths—used for diagnostic clarity, academic/work adjustments, or deeper self-awareness.

    2. What makes your approach unique?

Our assessments are therapeutic assessments, meaning the process itself can be a healing experience. Research shows this approach reduces distress, strengthens hope, and enhances therapeutic engagement. We center your story, cultural context, and goals at every step—so your results aren’t just data, they’re meaning in motion.

    3. How does the intake and testing process work?

    • Initial Intake (60–90 minutes)
Clinical interview to gather background, goals, concerns, and strengths.

    • Testing Sessions (4–6 hours total)
Standardized measures of cognition, attention, memory, language, and emotional functioning—usually split over two sessions.

    • Collateral Input
With your consent, we may collect additional information from teachers, therapists, or caregivers.

    • Scoring & Interpretation
We integrate everything into a coherent narrative—no isolated numbers.

    • Feedback Session (60 minutes)
Where we discuss results, implications, and next steps.

    • Written Report
A detailed but accessible report with diagnostic impressions, strategies, and accommodations.

    4. What is the timeline from intake to feedback?

Most clients complete the full process—intake, testing sessions, feedback, and report—within 3 to 4 weeks. We’ll give you a clear schedule at the start so you know what to expect.

    5. What is the cost?

Assessments start at $2,500–$3,000, based on complexity and client age. This includes the full package: intake, test sessions, feedback, and final report. While we don’t bill insurance directly, we provide superbills for potential reimbursement.

    6. Who can benefit from an assessment?

    • Adults or children seeking diagnostic clarity (ADHD, learning differences)

    • Students and professionals pursuing formal accommodations

    • Individuals exploring emotional or behavioral patterns

    • Anyone looking for insights into strengths, challenges, and how they learn or cope

    7. Is the process emotionally difficult?

We design assessments with care and pacing in mind. Many clients find the experience validating and empowering—especially given the therapeutic nature of our approach. Still, we check in regularly and tailor sessions to your energy and comfort level.

    8. How is the report used?

Our comprehensive reports are practical tools. Use them to:

    • Request school or workplace accommodations

    • Guide therapeutic treatment plans

    • Understand and support your developmental or neurodivergent profile

    • Advocate confidently for needed resources

    9. Can I choose a different format (e.g., virtual, separate sessions)?

Yes! Testing sessions can be adapted to in‑person or virtual formats depending on the tools used. Session length and number can also be adjusted based on your stamina and family schedule.
