Psychological Assessment
Clarity is powerful.
When something doesn’t feel quite right, a psychological assessment can offer the clarity you need to move forward—with confidence, compassion, and the right support.
At The Insight Atelier, we specialize in comprehensive psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. Whether you’re exploring a potential diagnosis, seeking academic accommodations, or simply trying to better understand yourself or your child, our assessments are collaborative, culturally responsive, and deeply attuned to nuance.
What We Assess
We offer evaluations for a wide range of clinical concerns, including:
ADHD (inattention, impulsivity, executive functioning challenges)
Learning Disorders (reading or mathematics impairments)
Mood & Anxiety Disorders (depression, panic, OCD, generalized anxiety)
Trauma & Stress-Related Disorders
Behavioral & Emotional Dysregulation
Diagnostic Clarification when multiple concerns overlap
We do not offer forensic or court-mandated evaluations.
Our Approach
Psychological testing at The Insight Atelier is more than a battery of checklists—it’s a thoughtful exploration of story, behavior, and context. Our process is grounded in developmental science, cultural humility, and insight-oriented care.
1. Initial Intake (60–90 min)
We begin with a comprehensive clinical interview to gather history, concerns, strengths, and goals for the evaluation. This helps us tailor the assessment battery to your unique needs.
2. Testing Sessions (4–6 hours total)
You (or your child) will complete a series of standardized tasks, interactive activities, and questionnaires designed to measure cognition, attention, executive functioning, memory, language, mood, and more. Sessions are typically split across two days and can be adjusted for stamina and comfort.
3. Collateral Input
With your permission, we may reach out to teachers, therapists, or caregivers to gain a more complete picture of functioning across settings.
4. Scoring + Interpretation
We take great care in analyzing the data, identifying patterns, and integrating all findings into a cohesive narrative. Your story is not just numbers—it’s meaning.
5. Feedback Session (60 min)
Within 2–3 weeks of your final testing session, we’ll meet for a personalized feedback session. We’ll walk you through the results, answer questions, and provide concrete recommendations and next steps.
6. Written Report
You’ll receive a detailed, jargon-free report that includes diagnostic impressions, strengths and challenges, and tailored recommendations for home, school, or work. This report can be shared with schools, providers, or used to pursue accommodations and support services.
